Very nice footage of that ridge, i’ve must been close by that spot in ’92 , only by car , travelled trough the valley of gods towards the monument valley.
I fly a a similar plane ( a hoffman dimona ) but the canopy opens different ( impossible to open during flight ) , but still wonders, doesn’t that increase your drag dramatically ??

Fascinating flight! Arlan, I’m glad you finally got your dream plane. The video reminds me of all the adventures we had in the Aerobat years ago. Next time you get to Virginia be sure to stop at Mtn. Empire, I’ll bring the biscuits!
