Twenty Years Married – A Special Day
Been married 20 years;.together even longer than that. This week marked two decades since we stood in front of Lady J, our airplane, in our new hangar at our new home—surrounded by about 90 friends and family, sharing that incredible moment.
To celebrate, we just returned from a short cruise. A suite (a free upgrade!) made the trip even better. I think Kim’s good, clean living might have played a role in that little stroke of luck.
We didn’t do much. And it was perfect.
I love that gal so much. We’re two peas in a pod. We rarely argue, and we spend nearly 24/7 together—something that could drive many couples crazy but only strengthens us. I’ve come to believe that true friendship comes later in a marriage; it only forms after years of struggles, triumphs, a few tears, and laughter. It goes beyond being lovers or even partners. Kim and I have that.
A few days in the Bahamas—probably our 12th time, at least—and now we’re back to our nest and our lives. Gratitude doesn’t seem a big enough word for how I feel about Kim.
My friend.
Happy anniversary, my love.
