We Must Know and Insist Upon Our Bill of Rights – or They’ll Vanish!
If a nation expects to be ignorant and free…it expects what never was and never will be.
Thomas Jefferson
Glittery objects, game shows, professional sports, Woke Education, fast-paced surface entertainment, and the endless noise of a plugged-in world—these are the sedatives of modern life. They dull our senses, keeping us occupied but not enlightened.
When we do seek knowledge, we dig with a two-inch shovel, scratching the surface rather than mining for depth. Authoritarian “truths” replace the ones we could uncover ourselves; we never learn of the basic tenets of existence. Our teachers, if any, are entities with a pitch, an agenda—persuasion masquerading as education.
And so, Idiocracy becomes the norm. Thought collapses, and freedom dies, not with a bang but with a reality show and a viral whimper.
No nation can be free and ignorant at the same time. Jefferson knew.
Magnificent! I’ll be borrowing this, thank you so much!
